SEPTIMA CABERNET FRANC
Bodega Séptima Cabernet Franc
The yields of the 2020 harvest were affected by an early frost during the flowering period, which, combined with the high temperatures registered during the ripening months and the scarcity of rainfall, led to an early harvest, conducted 15 days earlier than the previous year.
VARIETIES: Cabernet Franc
REGION: Agrelo 1050 M.A.M.S.L. (Lujan De Cuyo)
AGEING: 15% of the wine was kept in new French oak barrels
GUARDING POTENTIAL: 5 YEARS ±
COLOUR: Bright, deep red wine.
NOSE: On the nose, the prevailing notes are minty, and after some time in the wineglass, we begin to perceive notes of white pepper, smoked foods, cassis, blackberry marmalade and cherry.
PALATE: On the palate, this unctuous, gentle wine shows tenacity and a long finish.
SERVE: Serve at 14° – 15° C
PAIRING: Especially great pairing with steak and lamb, as they are often seasoned with herbs and pepper, or red sauce pasta, grilled meats, semi-hard cheese.
