Essence Du Cap Cabernet Sauvignon

Full-bodied wine has a ruby red color with aromas of ripe berries and cherries, and hints of pencil shavings ending in subtle oak spices. On the palate this well-balanced wine is velvety soft yet mouth filling with clean soft fruit and elegant oak spice with gentle tannins. Ideal accompaniment to fillet of beef and roast lamb but goes equally well with rich, robust dishes and strong-flavored cheeses.

AGEING: Matured for 12 months with a combination of French and American oak and 2nd and 3rd fill barrels.
GUARDING POTENTIAL: 5 years ±
SERVE: Serve at 16 – 18ºC

For our Essence du Cap range, we follow a best-of-all-worlds approach where we carefully identify and separate blocks that offer different characteristics to a blend. Our winemakers create building blocks during harvest time by using the finest grapes from different vineyard blocks on different farms, using more than one type of yeast or oak barrel. This allows our passionate team to sit down after harvest time and literally “build” an exceptional wine through careful blending and tasting.
