Fresh citrus and floral notes. On the palate, it is well-rounded, with grapefruit and pineapple flavours. The oak is subtle and well-integrated, giving the wine body and balance.

VARIETIES: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon
REGION: France / Bordeaux / Graves / Pessac-Léognan
AGEING: The bunches of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are pressed and the juce is partially racked and chilled for 24 hours. Afterwards it is transferred to barrels, of which 30% are new oak where it is vinified on its fine lees. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 8 months in oak with Bâtonnage taking place once a month
GUARDING POTENTIAL: Enjoy now or will cellar well up to 10 years
SERVE: Serve at 6ºC – 8ºC
FITS TO: Excellent with Pan Fried Plaice Fillets, Artichokes Risotto, Artichoke Velouté, Sushi, Sashimi, Vietnamese Bánh mì

Background | Of | Château Lamothe-Bouscaut

Château Lamothe Bouscaut is located in the village of Cadaujac and dates back to the 12th century. In 1999 it was acquired by its neighbour, Château Bouscaut, owned by Sophie Lurton and Laurent Cogombles.  The vineyards are sustainably managed and pruning is carried out by hand by five vineyard workers on the 9 hectare estate.

An MW tasting for Pessac Leognan put Château Bouscaut firmly in first place against all comers. Laurent and Sophie have really worked at placing the white wines and also the red wines in the first division. Bouscaut is now producing some of the best wines in Pessac Léognan and certainly one of the best value wines in this much sought-after part of the Graves.
