The Freshness
and Finesse of a
Great Pomerol Wine
Located in the heart of the prestigious AOC Pomerol, the Château Gazin vineyard borders those of neighbours such as Petrus and l’Evangile. Among the most prestigious wines of the renowned Pomerol appellation, located on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region, Château Gazin is celebrated for its classic style wines, always of consistently excellent quality.
The 2017 vintage will be remembered for the period of frost that hit hard the vineyards of Bordeaux. However, the terroirs on the Pomerol plateau were largely spared.
Product of what is referred to as a “winemaker’s vintage”, the Château Gazin 2017 reflects the effort of the property’s technical teams, who paid constant attention to the vine throughout the vegetative cycle. The grape harvest began quite early on September 5 with Merlots and ended on October 2 with Cabernets Sauvignon, with the fruit picked in various phases.
With a blend largely dominated by Merlot (95% and complemented by Cabernet Franc (5%), the Château Gazin 2017 displays the style and finesse of a great Pomerol wine in a vintage that highlights the purity and freshness of the fruit.
