ACHAVAL FERRER FINCA MIRADOR 2014
Achaval Ferrer Finca Mirador Malbec 2014
Wine of deep ruby color. The rich aroma contains tones of black berries, ripe cherries, plums, dark chocolate in harmonious combination with notes of leather and black pepper. Powerful, structured on the palate, with bright acidity, velvety tannins and a long finish.
“Big aromas of blackberry, leather, turned earth and white mushroom set up a bright, layered palate with fresh acidity at its core. Floral, exotic red-berry flavors are spicy and in sync with each other. A crisp, peppery finish with toasty oak ensures that this single-vineyard Malbec is built to last.” – 94/100, Wine Enthusiast

Finca Mirador | Range | Achaval Ferrer
The young “boutique” winery Achval Ferrer is a unique project in Argentina, conceived and implemented by a team of friends and like-minded people. Before its appearance, local winemakers did not think about the need to identify the characteristics of the terroir of this country. The founders of Achval Ferrer saw their main goal as creating high-quality, complex and terroir-based wines. That is why the main value of the estate is considered to be a collection of vineyards with old vines located in the Mendoza region at an altitude of 700-1000 meters above sea level. Over the twenty years of existence of the Achval Ferrer winery, their wines from individual vineyards have received the highest ratings from wine critics and have gained a reputation as perhaps the best malbecs in the world.
Finca Mirador, with an area of only 4 hectares, from old vines over 90 years old (1921), located near the town of Medrano at an altitude of 700 m above the sea. Finca Mirador emerges from a place surrounded by quinces, olive trees and rosemary, a wine distinguished by its tasty character, with an elegant finish and endless storage possibilities. For almost a century, Finca Mirador stands in the central-west region of Mendoza. The soils are alluvial in nature: 80 cm of clay with limestone, followed by rocks. Very limited yield: 14 hl/ha. Manual collection.
