TORRES SALMOS
Torres Salmos
Impressive dark cherry red color with great depth. Seductive floral and dark fruits (cassis, blackberry jam) aromas with undertones of Mediterranean woodland (eucalyptus) and spices (white pepper). Delicate, yet flavorful on the palate with a backbone of very fine-grained tannins and an elegant persistence that culminates — true to its name — in a chorus of aromas and flavors.
VARIETIES: Cariñena and Garnacha
REGION: DOQ Priorat, Spain
AGEING: 70% aged in French oak (20% new) for 16 months; 30%
aged in French oak foudres with a capacity of 30 hl
GUARDING POTENTIAL: 8 – 10 years
SERVE: Serve at 16ºC – 18ºC
PAIRING: Seamlessly with a variety of dishes. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice to accompany grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses. Alternatively, it can be savored on its own, allowing its remarkable flavors to take center stage

THE POWER AND ELEGANCE OF PRIORAT
Salmos is a tribute to the monks of the Carthusian Monastery of Scala Dei, who arrived in Priorat in 1194 and introduced winegrowing there. It is made from grapes mostly sourced from our La Giberga vineyard in Porrera, a scenic spot featuring terraces standing on llicorella slate soils, with strong temperature fluctuations between day and night, contributing to the allure of this wine.
