Deep red with purply hues. Blackcurrant and spice intertwined. Black fruits carry to the palate with cassis, blackcurrant and earthy tannins.

This range represents a combination of selected vineyards that show exceptional quality during the barrel selection process. They typically have new French oak components in the Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz whilst while the Grenache and Mataro are in older oak.

Our barrel select wines show the art of blending vineyards of the same grape varieties adding layers of texture, complexity and flavour from the small tapestry of vineyards in the Barossa.

The 1953 Orlando Barossa Cabernet, oh what a wine, and it is like minded wines that the three of us have enjoyed over the years that inspires us to make wines that live and develop in the Cellar. In a day and age of instant gratification it is our intention to ensure wines like this can and will reward those of you who love to invest time and patience into your wines.
