Dark ruby, rich, open bouquet of cherry and pomegranate, plus a fine almond and tobacco note. A wine whose juiciness makes it a pleasure to drink early on, but whose complexity of flavour increases enormously as it matures.
VARIETIES: Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 10%
REGION: Macigno del Chianti (sandstone), Scaglia Toscana (galestro), Monte Morello (Alberese), Marine Deposit (sandy deposits and clay at deeper levels) and Ancient Fluvial Terrace (silty deposits with clay)
AGEING: 21 months in tonneaux and large casks with 3 to 6 months in the bottle
GUARDING POTENTIAL: Enjoy now or will cellar well up to 6 years
SERVE: Serve at 16ºC – 18ºC
FIT TO: Light meat, Dark poultry, Grilled of any kind, Medium old cheese, Pizza/pasta/casseroles and others
