Piccini Sasso Al Poggio Rosso Toscana IGT is the intimate expression of Tuscany. A wine that tells the story of the magnificence of its birthplace. Know-how and traditions are blended with innovation; the typicity of Sangiovese meets Cabernet’s elegance and Merlot’s smoothness.
Sasso Al Poggio Rosso is an Italian red wine made from a selection of the best bunches of grapes consisting of 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet and 20% Merlot, Tuscany wine region IGT, Italy. It is one of the so-called “Super-Tuscan” wines named after its birthplace and the cradle of most red wines – after mountainous Tuscany with clayey and rocky soil. The name of the wine “Sasso al Poggio” also refers to this, which in translation means a stone on a hill. After vinification, the wine matured for a total of 12 months in oak barrels and 4 months in bottle.
