The Alfredo Second Pass Shiraz is made as a tribute to our founder, Alfredo Nugan. When a young Alfredo emigrated from Spain in 1940, he had a clear vision of his family’s new life in Australia. Today, his legacy sees the Nugan family established as one of Australia’s most successful agricultural enterprises. This limited release collection of premium wines are a tribute to his vision and the passion he instilled in us, his family, to pursue his ideals of outstanding quality and service.

Alfredo Second Pass Shiraz
This Second Pass Shiraz is sourced from premium vineyards in the Riverina. After fermentation, the wine was softly bag pressed before racking onto the pomace and yeast lees of our premium ‘Alfredo’ dried grape Shiraz adding to the wines intensity. Thereafter, the wine was maturated in French and American oak for 12 months resulting in a wine of intensity and quality.

Winemakers Comments
Deep garnet, with crimson hue. Attractive aromas of rhubarb and cherry entwined with tobacco, dark chocolate and earth. Long and complex palate of ripe raspberries and blueberries with dark chocolate, earth and velvety tannins.
