Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of lively fruit, powdery tannins and succulent acids, it’s suave and seamless, concluding with a long, expansive finish. The result of an extremely rigorous selection, and incorporating fully 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is the finest wine this château has produced in the modern era. Château Lagrange’s vineyard stretches over two Gunzian gravel slopes where the highest point of Saint-Julien thrones on the beautiful estate.

Each year, the work in the vineyard, where attention to detail and age-old traditions are combined, gives birth to a unique, elegant, powerful wine able to age well over time.

Over 35 years ago, our vineyard was re-planted and re-structured, resulting in today’s well balanced and distinguished wines, honed by the magic of time.

Expressing the best of each terroir: with this objective in mind, we re-organized the vinification cellar with one stainless steel vat adapted to each and every plot in the vineyard.
