Gran Reserva | Range | Séptima
Only the best grapes from their best vineyards make it into this wine. A Malbec not to be missed. As with most Argentinian Gran Malbec’s, the winemaker choose to blend other grape types to add complexity, weight and emphasising flavours. Séptima is widely recognised as one of Argentina’s top wineries and this Gran Reserva shows this to the full. The number of awards its won is the ‘proof of the pudding’.
Nose is full of chocolate, violets, and berry fruit giving a clue of what is to follow. In taste the blackberry cassis and strawberries come through with touches of spicy dark chocolate and a cedar vanilla background from the oak aging. There are roasted hues and great warmth to the flavours with soft light tannins.
