Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba DOC
The Barbera grapes from the Barolo and Barbaresco regions give to our classic Barbera a uniquely great structure, full body, complexity, smooth character, ripe fruit, spices and a very long life. Full structure, plummy and complex flavor, with spicy and ripe fruit, blackberry aroma and a hint of toasted tobacco.
VARIETIES: Barbera 100%
REGION: Northern Italy / Piemonte / Barbera d’Alba
AGEING: In big French oak “botti” for 12 months; a small amount in barriques as well
GUARDING POTENTIAL: Enjoy now or will cellar well up to 5 years
SERVE: Serve at 16ºC – 18ºC
FIT TO: Recommend pairing with a tomato and meat pasta sauce, such as Bucatini all’Amatriciana, or Cheese like Abbaye de Belloc, Fiore Sardo, Fontina, Lancashire, Piave, Taleggio

Sourced from our Family-owned vineyards in the Barolo region in Serralunga d’Alba (Colombaro) and in Monforte d’Alba (Mosconi), in the Barbaresco region in Treiso (Bongiovanni) and also in the Langhe region in Sinio (Val di Croce, Bricco dello Stornello) and in Diano d’Alba (Carzello).
