Juyondai Nakadori Banshu Daiginjo is a premium sake produced by the Juyondai brewery, located in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. The brewery was established in 1661, during the Edo period, and has been producing sake for over 350 years.
Juyondai Nakadori Banshu Daiginjo was first introduced in 1977 and quickly gained a reputation for its high quality and smooth taste. The sake is made using Yamada Nishiki rice, which is considered one of the best sake rice varieties, and is polished to a ratio of 35%, resulting in a very pure and refined flavor.
The name “Nakadori” refers to the middle part of the sake press, where the highest quality sake is produced. “Banshu” refers to the region in Hyogo Prefecture where the rice used to make the sake is grown.
Juyondai Nakadori Banshu Daiginjo has become one of the most sought-after sakes in Japan and around the world, with limited quantities produced each year.
