Like fine wine, tobacco gets better with age. K. Hansotia and Co. took that saying to heart when they created the Gurkha Cellar Reserve in 2011, but they weren’t going to stop there. They followed up their immensely popular Cellar Reserve line with the Gurkha Cellar Reserve Limitada, which was unveiled to great fanfare at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas as an exclusive cigar released only to brick and mortar retailers. The Limitada’s blend is identical to the original Cellar Reserve except with the substitution of a dark Brazilian Arapiraca maduro wrapper in the place of the Criollo ’98. The rest of the cigar contains the same top-quality 15-year-aged Dominican long filler tobaccos with an aged Dominican Olor binder. The Gurkha Cellar Reserve Limitada is a medium to full-bodied smoke with complex, rounded flavors that pick up in strength as the cigar progresses.
