Bodega Garzón Single Vineyard Tannat

This elegant yet powerful Tannat has aromas of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, black plums, tobacco, and black chocolate, with a spicy background. It is juicy and fresh in the palate, and has a full-body with a lingering finish, perfectly balanced with a touch of oak.

REGION: Coastal Maldonado, Uruguay
AGEING: 12 – 18 months in 25 & 50 HL untoasted French oak barrels.
GUARDING POTENTIAL: 8 YEARS ±
SERVE: Serve at 14 – 16ºC
PAIRING: A wine of great structure, it pairs nicely with regional dishes such as local lamb. Cured cheeses like Parmesan or a duck cassoulet showcase the wine’s spicy notes. It pairs perfectly with traditional French cuisine.

This single vineyard Tannat comes from a site which is cooler than the other blocks on the estate, with steep slopes, thin soils and excellent drainage thanks to the predominance of ballast in the upper layers.
