Château Saint-Jacques 2019
Pomerol

Full-bodied, powerful and seductive with dark, ruby color and aromas of berry fruit, earth, spices, herbs, and vanilla. A powerful, meaty, and very tasty wine with a good struc-ture, good balance, and elegant tannins from the 12-month barrel aging. The lingering finish is velvety and shows fruit and vanilla tones. This wine is already pleasant to drink but patience will be rewarded. The wine will get softer with age by ripening.

VARIETIES: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, average 38-year-old vines
REGION: France / Bordeaux / Libournais / Pomerol
AGEING: Aged in barrels, 50% of which are new, for 12 months
GUARDING POTENTIAL: Enjoy now or will cellar well up to 10 years
SERVE: Serve at 16 – 18ºC
FITS TO: Epicurean friends, know that the Château Saint-Jacques loves the company of meat simmered in sauce and lamb in all its forms: tender leg with pink garlic, roasted shoulder with Provencal herbs, navarin with olives… When ripe, after a few “years in the bottle”, it is perfect with Duck, Quail, Cornish Hen and Tuber Melanosporum Truffles
